Country: Viet Nam Source: European Commission’s Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations Since 24 April, Dien Bien province in the Northwest region of Viet Nam has been affected by severe weather, including hailstorms and strong winds, resulting in casualties and damage. As of 28 April, the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reports that four people were injured and 105 affected, as well as 23 buildings were damaged. Over the next 48 hours, northern Vietnam is expected to experience additional moderate to locally heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, hail, lightning and strong winds.
