Please refer to the attached file. Highlights In July, UNHCR partner OCNH and the Civil Registry Office in Hinche city signed an agreement to provide free issuance of civil status documents to 400 internally displaced persons, strengthening access to legal identity and reducing documentation-related protection risks. On World Humanitarian Day, UNHCR participated in a community discussion organized by its partner, ODELPA, focused on the challenges facing humanitarian actors amid insecurity and growing needs in Haiti. In August, UNHCR delivered a training session as part of the Haiti Summer University, organized by the Haitian Institute for Human Rights. The session targeted students engaged in the human rights field and focused on international protection, refugee rights, and asylum procedures. On 21 September, UNHCR participated in the Citizen Forum for Peace, organized by the Office de la Protection du Citoyen (OPC) and the UN Country Team, to mark the International Day of Peace, discuss social cohesion and civic participation. UNHCR and its partners conducted protection monitoring missions to Belladère, Ouanaminthe, Cap-Haïtien, and Kenscoff to assess displacement trends and protection risks. The missions supported birth registration for vulnerable groups and, through ICDH coordination with the National Archives, facilitated access to birth certificate extracts. In the framework of CERF-funded activities, UNHCR strengthened the capacity of partners ICDH, OCNH, ANH, ODELPA, AVSI, and REACH/ACTED to enhance coordination and protection standards, strengthening referral pathways and access to lifesaving services for people with international protection needs.
