Suspect arrested over killing of woman, three children in Karachi

The Karachi police have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in the killing of a woman and her three children in Karachi’s Surjani Town, sources said on Thursday. A murder weapon has also been recovered from the suspect. During initial interrogation, the suspect allegedly confessed to killing the woman and her three children over a personal dispute, according to the sources. The sources said the detained man was a close acquaintance of the family and had also lived as a tenant in their house some time ago. The suspect was traced after police questioned the victims’ family members and other individuals. He was taken into police custody and is being questioned, the sources added. It may be added that the bodies of woman Mahwish and her three children were found inside a house in Sector 7-D of Surjani Town on Monday night. Police officials said further investigation was underway in light of the evidence. The suspect’s statement is also being verified against other available evidence.
