Somali pirates seize oil tanker near Somalia carrying 11 Pakistani crew members

Pirates attacked and seized an oil tanker near the coast of Somalia, taking hostage a vessel carrying 11 Pakistani crew members, prompting Pakistani authorities to launch urgent rescue and diplomatic efforts. Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry took notice of the incident and sought an immediate report, directing all relevant institutions to make the rescue operation more effective. According to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, all concerned departments are in constant coordination and closely monitoring the situation.
