Notice issued to FIA director

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notice to the director FIA in a contempt of court petition filed by a passenger who was offloaded from Lahore airport and sought reply by September 25. The court also directed the law officer to submit a detailed report on next hearing. The petitioner contended that he was scheduled to travel to the United Arab Emirates but was offloaded from the flight on August 08. Despite the court order, the respondent director failed to decide his pending application. The petitioner, therefore, asked the court to initiate contempt of court proceedings against the director for not complying with the court order. Copyright Business Recorder, 2026
