KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman and former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has described the “Battle of Truth” [Marka-e-Haq and Pakistan’s Operation Bunyan al-Marsoos against India’s aggressive Operation Sindoor] as a golden chapter in Pakistan’s history, saying that the Pakistani nation demonstrated remarkable unity, passion and determination. He made the remarks while addressing a ceremony held in Karachi to mark the first anniversary of the event. The ceremony was organised by the Sindh government and attended by senior political leadership, including Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and senior provincial minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. A special documentary showcasing achievements linked to the “Battle of Truth” was also screened during the event. Bilawal said Pakistan’s diplomats had strongly countered the enemy on the diplomatic front, while every Pakistani had played their part effectively in the process. He said the collective national response reflected unity and resilience. Speaking earlier, Sharjeel Inam Memon said Zulfikar Ali Bhutto made the country a nuclear power, which ensured that no adversary could challenge Pakistan easily. Memon described the anniversary as a day of significance and said the success in the operation had demonstrated Pakistan’s strength to the world. Business leader Arif Habib also addressed the ceremony, saying the success had raised the pride of Pakistanis globally. He expressed hope that the country would soon see positive developments in the economic sphere as well.
