Hajj flight operation to begin today

Pakistan’s Hajj flight operation is set to begin today, marking the start of the annual pilgrimage journey for thousands of intending pilgrims. According to officials, the first flights will depart from Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, and Multan, carrying pilgrims to Saudi Arabia under the government scheme. A total of 119, 000 pilgrims will travel to the holy cities of Madinah and Makkah through 468 flights. Of these, 67, 230 are male pilgrims, while 51, 846 are female. On the first day of operations, four flights will transport pilgrims to Madinah. Flights to Jeddah are scheduled to begin on May 4. The first long Hajj flight to Madinah will depart on May 7, while the final flight from Pakistan is set to leave on May 21, concluding the pre-Hajj operation.
