The Barga Nallah overflowed in Skardu due to glacier melting, inundating nearby villages, destroying standing crops and damaging orchards, while residents were forced to leave their homes and move to safer areas. Several feet of water entered houses in areas surrounding the river, submerging homes and forcing people to evacuate. The flooding also caused water to accumulate in the local cemetery, causing widespread damage in the area.
