At least five people were killed and several others injured when the roof and a wall of a house collapsed in Karachi’s Orangi Town on Thursday. According to rescue sources, several people were trapped under the rubble after the roof and wall of the under-construction house collapsed. Rescue teams and police reached the site soon after receiving information about the incident. The bodies and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment, rescue sources said. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from the relevant authorities. He expressed grief over the loss of lives and directed the hospital administration to provide the injured with immediate and best possible medical treatment. The chief minister also directed the relevant authorities to submit a detailed report on the incident.
