Six Labourers Killed After Abduction The bullet-riddled bodies of six people were recovered from Balochistan’s Turbat district on Thursday, police confirmed. The bodies were found in the Nasirabad area, with local administration officials arriving at the scene after being informed of the incident and shifting the remains to the hospital. Balochistan government’s Special Assistant Babar Yousafzai said the six bodies belonged to labourers, four from Punjab and two from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He added that seven labourers had been abducted by unidentified persons two days earlier from the Kalatuk area of Kech district, and that one of the labourers was shot dead immediately after the abduction. Investigation Underway Police officials confirmed the victims had been shot dead, and an investigation is underway alongside efforts to identify the bodies. Officials said all aspects of the incident were being closely examined, and further details would be shared once the investigation was complete. No conclusive statement has been issued regarding a possible motive or the group responsible. Pattern of Violence in Balochistan The incident comes weeks after three bodies were recovered elsewhere in Balochistan. One of the victims, killed in the Dasht area, was identified as Master Abid Muhammad Umar, who had been abducted by unidentified armed men. Separately, two people were shot dead in the Sarikoran area of Panjgur district. The killings highlight the ongoing security challenges in Balochistan, where laborer and civilian abductions have become a recurring issue, often involving extortion, sectarian violence, or militant activity.
