ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed 10 terrorists and arrested two female suicide bombers along with a facilitator during intelligence-based operations in Balochistan over the past 48 hours, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were carried out in Surab and Mastung districts as part of ongoing action against what it described as the Indian-sponsored “Fitna al Hindustan” and “Fitna al Khwarij. ” The ISPR said security forces conducted multiple intelligence-based area sanitisation and targeted operations, engaging terrorist hideouts in both districts. It said seven terrorists were killed during operations in Surab. In Mastung, security forces killed three terrorists and apprehended two female suicide bombers along with a facilitator, who the ISPR said belonged to the Indian-sponsored Fitna al Hindustan. Weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were recovered during the operations, according to the statement. The military said sanitisation operations were continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorists and their facilitators. Reaffirming its resolve, the ISPR said the counterterrorism campaign under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, would continue at full pace to eliminate what it described as foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
