KARACHI: On the occasion of May Day, Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, said in his message that labourers are the foundation of the development of any society, and it is the responsibility of all of us to pay tribute to the sacrifices, struggle, and tireless work of labourers. He said that the sacrifices of the martyrs of Chicago have set a new path of struggle for workers around the world. He further said that the Pakistan Peoples Party and its Sindh government have included the welfare of labourers and farmers among their priorities. The Sindh government has taken important steps such as increasing the minimum wage for workers, strictly implementing labour laws, and providing health and financial facilities. In addition, technical training programs, employment opportunities, and special facilities for women workers are clear evidence of the government’s labour-friendly policies. Sharjeel Inam Memon reiterated the commitment that the Sindh government will continue its efforts to create a just and prosperous society by further strengthening the working and farming communities.
