Two suspected militants held in Gwadar

GWADAR: Two suspected militants were arrested during a joint operation carried out by police and law enforcement agencies in Gwadar on Sunday. According to the police, the operation was launched near Dhor Chowk after authorities pursued suspects accused of attacking a police patrol vehicle and fleeing with official weapons. Security forces sealed off the area before engaging the suspects. The police said the two were apprehended following an exchange of gunfire during the operation. Weapons were also recovered from their possession. Investigators believed the arrests could provide significant leads, adding that the scope of the investigation into the attack had been widened and further inquiries were under way.
