Three policemen injured in militant attack on Mardan police post

Militants attacked the Seri Behlol police post in Takht Bhai tehsil of Mardan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, injuring three police personnel, while one attacker was killed in retaliatory fire, police said on Tuesday. According to police, a militant threw a hand grenade at the police post and was targeted by police while attempting to throw a second grenade. Police said the second grenade exploded in the attacker’s hand, killing him on the spot. Rescue officials shifted the injured police personnel and the militant’s body to the Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) Hospital. The three injured police officers were reported to be out of danger. An additional police force reached the site and launched an investigation into the attack.
