Three children electrocuted at wedding in Hyderabad

Three children were electrocuted to death in Hyderabad after coming into contact with high-voltage power lines during a wedding ceremony in the Tando Tayyab area, officials said. The victims — identified as 10-year-old Farhan, 14-year-old Abdul Rehman, and 12-year-old Faraz — had travelled with their families to attend a relative’s wedding. According to initial reports, the children were sleeping on the rooftop of the house when they accidentally came into contact with high-tension wires passing dangerously close to the structure. Two of the deceased were brothers, police confirmed. The incident turned celebrations into mourning, with the wedding house plunged into grief. Family members cancelled the planned valima ceremony and departed for Shahdadpur to carry out the burial rites. Authorities have termed the incident a tragic accident and said further details are being ascertained.
