Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Friday, gaining for the fourth straight session and second consecutive week, aided by gains across sectors. The CSE All Share index settled up 0. 82% at 22, 773. 29. It gained 2. 91% for the week. Asiri Surgical Hospital and Softlogic Holdings were the top percentage gainers on the index, up 17. 2% and 5. 6%, respectively. Trading volume on the index fell to 221. 6 million shares from 242. 7 million in the previous session. The equity market’s turnover rose to 4. 97 billion Sri Lankan rupees from 4. 96 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data. Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 391. 9 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 4. 78 billion rupees, the data showed.
