Key Weekly Highlights as of 07 April 2026 • In the past week, 316 new suspected cases and 1 death (CFR: 0. 3%) were reported across 9 counties. • In the last 14 days of reporting (onset from 25 March 2026 to 07 April 2026), 544 new cases and 5 deaths (CFR: 0. 9%) were reported in 10 counties. Most of these cases came from Mayom (225, 41. 4%), Ayod (118, 21. 7%), Yirol East (77, 14. 2%) and Duk (43, 7. 9%). • From 28 September 2024 to 07 April 2026, 102, 105 cases, including 1, 662 deaths have been reported in 55 counties, across 9 states and all three administrative areas (i. e. , Abyei, Ruweng and Greater Pibor). • Of the 1, 662 deaths, 833 (50. 1%) occurred in health facilities, while the rest were community deaths. The overall case fatality rate (CFR) is 1. 6%, while the health facility CFR is 0. 8%. • Unity State continue to account for the highest burden of cholera cases at 33% (33, 458) followed by Jonglei State at 15% (15, 133) and Central Equatorial State at 13% (12, 786) of the cumulative cases. • The age group with highest case count is 0-4 years (24%) followed by those aged 5-14 years (22%). • Mayom and Panyijiar are the only counties in Unity state still reporting cholera cases. • The outbreak has geographically shifted to Jonglei and Lakes states, driven by population displacement and poor WASH conditions especially in the IDP camps. • Renk is the latest county to report resurgence of cholera cases after 3 months of no cases, with 10 cases and 0 deaths reported in the last 7 days.
