A tragic road accident occurred on the Karakoram Highway when a motor car bearing registration number AFB-324, travelling from Gilgit to Rawalpindi, met with an accident at Tarees Banda in the jurisdiction of Patan police station, Lower Kohistan. According to Rescue 1122 officials, six passengers died on the spot as a result of the accident.
