SAFCO celebrates International Women-I Championship Award

HYDERABAD: A ceremony was held at the SAFCO Head Office in Hyderabad to celebrate receiving the global award at the Women-I Championship 2026. Addressing the ceremony, Dr Suleman G. Abro said that global recognition does not come overnight; rather, it is the result of collective efforts, perseverance, commitment, and consistency. He said that a clear vision, confidence, courage, knowledge, and the ability to turn ideas into practical action are essential for sustainable success. Recalling SAFCO’s journey, Dr. Abro said that the organization began its work with limited resources and faced numerous challenges while operating in a difficult political and social environment. Despite the lack of adequate equipment, financial resources, and facilities during its early years, SAFCO remained committed to its mission and continued moving forward with determination and confidence. He also recalled SAFCO’s participation in the global women’s development process following the Beijing Conference and said that subsequently, SAFCO’s work was presented at various national and international forums. Dr Abro said that the international award is not the achievement of one individual but the result of the collective efforts of everyone associated with SAFCO. He added that the honor also brings an additional responsibility to further strengthen SAFCO’s mission and continue working for financial inclusion and inclusive development.
