RTO Hyderabad recovers huge quantity of untaxed goods

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Hyderabad intercepted eight commercial vehicles and recovered substantial quantity of untaxed goods during last eight days. According to the details, the crackdown focused heavily on non-compliance with digital invoicing mandates under Section 40c and Third Schedule regulations. During the operation, tax authorities intercepted multiple shipments failing to produce the mandatory digital sales tax invoices. The RTO, Hyderabad seized three vehicles loaded with poultry feed, while five more vehicles transporting beverage shipments, fertilizer and plastic mats consignments were impounded for parallel digital invoicing offenses. A shipment of motorbikes has also been intercepted as the transporters holding only a manual sales tax invoice, an explicit violation of Third Schedule requirements. Consequently, all detained vehicles and their respective commercial goods were immediately transferred to an official warehouse. The RTO Hyderabad has initiated further verification and investigations into the shipments, with formal legal proceedings set to follow under the relevant provisions of the law.
