A major water supply project worth Rs14. 2 billion has been approved for Karachi to improve water availability in DHA and surrounding areas, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. The project will provide an additional 10 million gallons per day (MGD) of water to DHA and nearby localities, helping reduce the city’s water shortage. MNA Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig stated that the project was approved with the support of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and President Asif Ali Zardari. He said work on the project would begin soon to improve water supply and provide relief to thousands of residents in Karachi. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig added that approval has also been granted for the release of Rs14. 2 billion for the project and expressed hope that implementation would start without delay.
