LAHORE: On the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan Railways has commenced the transportation of diesel by rail to ensure its timely supply to PSO depots. Under the supervision of Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Pakistan Railways has made effective arrangements for the transportation of diesel. In this regard, a freight train carrying 750, 000 litres of diesel from Rawalpindi has reached Peshawar Division. As part of the ongoing supply arrangements, another freight train carrying one million litres of diesel from Mahmood Kot is scheduled to reach Peshawar Division tonight, further strengthening the supply chain. To ensure a continuous and uninterrupted supply of diesel, Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has directed the relevant authorities to continue the transportation of diesel by rail on a daily basis, ensuring its timely availability at PSO depots. The timely and sustained transportation of diesel by Pakistan Railways will help maintain the continuity of train operations and ensure the uninterrupted provision of passenger services to the people of Pakistan.
