The Punjab government has approved the construction of a surface water treatment plant and water supply system at Dadocha Dam to provide clean drinking water to the residents of Rawalpindi. According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Housing Department, the project is estimated to cost Rs36 billion and is scheduled for completion by December 2029.
