He said Iqbal’s message revived a spirit of self-respect, confidence, and purposeful struggle among the Muslim Ummah. President Zardari noted that Iqbal’s thought represents a unique synthesis of Eastern and Western intellectual traditions, presenting a forward-looking vision of society based on justice, dignity, and the full development of human potential. He said that Iqbal’s ideas remain highly relevant in the contemporary world, particularly in the context of social justice and the moral development of societies. Highlighting Iqbal’s concern for economic fairness, the President said that the Poet of the East strongly emphasized the dignity of labour and the need for equitable distribution of resources.
