The government on Monday increased the price of petrol by Rs0. 88 per litre while reducing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs1. 88, effective October 6. According to a Petroleum Division notification, petrol will now cost Rs393. 64 per litre, up from Rs392. 76, while HSD will be available at Rs39. .
