PESHAWAR: PESCO has taken a significant step toward digitalization by introducing QR codes on all electricity bills, enabling consumers to pay their bills online and conveniently. Chief Executive Officer PESCO, Engr. Akhtar Hamid Khan, termed the initiative a remarkable move aimed at facilitating consumers. He stated that with the inclusion of QR codes, all PESCO consumers can now pay their electricity bills by simply scanning the code using their mobile devices. “All PESCO bills now carry QR codes, which will greatly simplify the payment process. Consumers can pay their bills from the comfort of their homes at any time with just one click, eliminating the need to stand in long queues at banks, ” said the CEO. He further added that this initiative has been implemented in line with the directions of the Minister for Energy (Power Division), Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Laghari, to promote digital solutions and improve customer convenience. He also acknowledged the valuable contribution of Chairman Board of Directors PESCO, Himayatullah Khan, whose keen interest and broad vision played a key role in making this initiative possible. To make use of this facility, consumers are required to scan the QR code printed on their bills through their mobile banking apps or digital payment platforms. Upon successful payment, a confirmation message will be received.
