PESCO ends union fund cut from salaries

PESHAWAR: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has ended deductions from employees’ salaries under the union fund, with a formal notification issued in this regard. According to the notification, no individual, group or organisation will be allowed to represent PESCO or its employees. Union protests, strikes and other activities have also been prohibited, while PESCO offices cannot be used for union-related activities. PESCO management said a proper administrative mechanism is in place to address employees’ complaints and issues, through which workers can approach the relevant authorities.
