oPt: QRCS launches Warm Winter Campaign 2026–2027 [EN/AR]

Please refer to the attached files. October 25th, 2026 ― Doha, Qatar: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has announced the launch of its Warm Winter Campaign 2026–2027. Under the theme of “Warmth and Serenity”, the three-month drive involves a wide range of winterization projects and aid for the benefit of more than 57, 000 people in many vulnerable countries, including Palestine (Gaza and the West Bank), Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Lebanon, and Jordan. Among the forms of aid to be provided are winter clothing, mattresses, blankets, heaters, heating oil, and tarpaulins. The projects will be undertaken by QRCS’s foreign representation offices/missions, in cooperation with host National Societies and competent authorities. Abdullah Sultan Al-Qattan, Acting Secretary-General of QRCS, stated, “Through our Warm Winter Campaign, we urge generous donors to just imagine a poor family enduring the winter with no roof over their heads and no blankets or warm clothes for their shivering kids. That is not a figment of the imagination; sadly, it is how millions of displaced people around the world have been living for years. Now, imagine the same family making it through the winter, with their children warmly dressed and adequately protected. In these two contrasting scenarios, Zakat and Sadaqah are what makes the difference”. Hailing Qatar’s longstanding traditions of solidarity, benevolence, and being there for humanity, Mr. Al-Qattan commented, “When the need arises, benefactors are the first to step forward. Since its birth two decades ago, our annual Warm Winter Campaign has always been widely received. Similarly, QRCS has consistently delivered on its promises with maximum efficiency and dedication”. “Today, ” he continued, “a new chapter of our humanitarian mission is beginning. Everyone is invited to help thousands of underprivileged families survive this winter without suffering. Let’s uphold the values of fraternity and compassion, starting with a single word: Imagine”. Mohamed Bader Al-Sada, Assistant Secretary-General for Relief and International Development at QRCS, gratefully thanked the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) for making the Warm Winter Campaign possible. “In the planning phase, we selected the countries where harsh winter conditions and displacement crises combine, such as Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Afghanistan, and Yemen. This approach maximizes the impact of humanitarian aid and ensures timely delivery to those who need it most, ” Mr. Al-Sadah explained. He said he was confident individual and institutional donors would like to be part of this noble humanitarian endeavor, by providing relief supplies that can make thousands of people in need suffer less during the winter. Donations can be made via QRCS’s website (https: //qrcs. qa/ww1), mobile app (QRCS), donor service hotline (66666364), home donation collection hotline (33998898), or bank transfer to any of the following accounts: • QNB (IBAN: QA21QNBA000000000850020196062).
