New Saylani Mosque opens at Kalachi Cooperative Housing Society

KARACHI: Saylani Mosque Zaitoon Ashraf was inaugurated at Kalachi Cooperative Housing Society on Dalmia Road in a ceremony that brought together senior officials, religious scholars, philanthropists and community members. Inspector General of Sindh Police Javed Alam Odho attended the event as a special guest, while Iqbal Mandvia and Ameen Mandvia were guests of honour. Renowned Naat reciter Al-Haj Muhammad Owais Raza Qadri presented a tribute in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during the ceremony. Addressing the gathering as chief guest, founder and chairman of Saylani Welfare International Trust, Maulana Muhammad Bashir Farooq Qadri, congratulated Amjad Chamdia and Afzal Chamdia for establishing the mosque in memory of their parents and inaugurating it on the 11th night of Rabi-us-Sani. Maulana Bashir Farooq Qadri urged people to remain actively involved in acts of charity and public welfare according to their means, saying that good deeds not only benefit society in this world but also become a source of salvation in the Hereafter. He said Saylani continues to serve poor and vulnerable communities across the country through a wide range of welfare initiatives, from its Dastarkhwan programme to education, information technology and skills development. He also said the Chamdia brothers intend to continue supporting the construction of mosques in Pakistan as well as abroad. The event was attended by Saylani COO Muhammad Ghazal, heads of different Saylani departments, prominent religious scholars, social and welfare figures, philanthropists, local residents and other distinguished guests.
