Minister reviews health sector’s projects

LAHORE: “Historic and revolutionary projects worth billions of rupees have been initiated in the health sector and efforts are being made to provide the best health facilities to the people at their doorsteps. ” This was revealed by the Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique while reviewing the ongoing and proposed development projects of health sector. Punjab Health Secretary Azmat Mahmood also attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research Lahore, Nawaz Sharif Medical District Lahore, University of Child Health Sciences Lahore, Maryam Nawaz Institute of Cardiology Gujranwala, Maryam Nawaz Sharif Medical College and Teaching Hospital Mianwali, Children’s Hospital Bahawalpur and other projects. Khawaja Salman Rafique said that a network of new hospitals is being laid across the province. Provincial Secretary, Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, Azmat Mahmood said that all ongoing health projects will be completed on time.
