A mild earthquake measuring 2. 9 on the Richter scale struck parts of Karachi on Friday evening, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). The tremor was recorded at 6pm PST with a depth of 10 kilometres, while its epicentre was located in Karachi at latitude 24. 80°N and longitude 67. 01°E. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage following the low-intensity tremor.
