Forty-five per cent of households in Gorongosa District had achieved moderate to high progress towards durable solutions, while 55 per cent remained within the low-progress category. Limited progress was mainly associated with constrained access to alternative livelihood opportunities, limited access to basic services and high levels of food insecurity. Displaced households recorded comparatively higher levels of progress in some categories. Among households living in displacement, 22 per cent were classified as having achieved high progress, compared with 10 per cent of non-displaced households. A further 22 per cent of displaced households and 35 per cent of nondisplaced households were classified within the moderate-progress category.
