The Karachi Police have arrested the main suspect, identified as Malik Ibrahim, for allegedly assaulting a young man in the Defence Phase 8 area and have registered a case at the Sahil police station. A video of the incident that went viral on social media shows three men assaulting the youth. According to initial details, Ibrahim Malik called the youth, identified as Ali Jafri, to Bukhari Commercial before allegedly taking him away by force to an undisclosed location within the Sahil police limits. Sources said that Ibrahim Malik and two other men allegedly subjected Ali to brutal torture. They allegedly beat him with sticks, broke his leg and forcibly cut his hair. The assailants also allegedly forced him to abuse himself. According to police, the youth had been involved in a dispute at a gaming zone within the jurisdiction of the Gizri police station. According to sources, the assault took place on August 29.
