Pakistani actor Mahira Khan has announced that she is expecting her second child at the age of 41, sharing the news with fans during her debut at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Mahira revealed the pregnancy on Instagram through photographs showing her in a flowing white dress while cradling her baby bump. For the occasion, she also wore a deep burgundy and emerald green saree by Aafrinish by Niazi, adding another fashion highlight to her TIFF appearance. The label is known for hand-embroidered sarees and traditional techniques including Kashidakari, Pita Tila, Mukesh and Cutdana work. Alongside the photographs, Mahira wrote, “We make plans, and then there are Allah’s plans. ” The announcement was met with congratulatory messages from fans, friends and fellow celebrities. Among those sending their wishes were Sajal Aly, Dananeer Mobeen, Saboor Aly, Maheen Siddiqui, Bilal Ashraf, Aiman Khan, Hina Afridi, Sadaf Kanwal and Fiza Ali. Mahira married her husband in an intimate ceremony in Bhurban in October 2023. The actor is also continuing her professional commitments. She is set to star opposite Wahaj Ali in the upcoming action film Mitti De Baway. Her previous film, Aag Lagey Basti Mein, was released earlier this year during Eid-ul-Fitr.
