Ma’arka-e-Haq commemorated in provincial capitals, G-B, AJ&K with enthusiasm

ISLAMABAD: Ceremonies in connection with commemoration of Ma’arka-e-Haq were held at Yadgar-e-Shuhada in the provincial capitals, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. A graceful ceremony in connection with first commemoration of Ma’arka-e-Haq was held at Yadgar-e-Shuhada in Lahore this morning. The Corps Commander Lahore was the Chief Guest of the ceremony which was also attended by the Provincial Ministers, Chief Secretary, civil and military authorities and a large number of citizens. The Corps Commander laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered fateha, while a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented guard of honour. At conclusion of this august ceremony, special prayers were offered for the security, stability of the country and the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs. An impressive ceremony was held at the Headquarters of Pakistan Rangers Sindh in Karachi on the one-year completion of Ma’arka-e-Haq. Officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Rangers Sindh participated in the ceremony. The Director General of the Pakistan Rangers Sindh, who was the Chief Guest of the ceremony, laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha. A glowing tribute was also paid to the great sacrifices of the martyrs of the country. On the occasion, a special message from the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces was also read out. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a splendid ceremony on completion of one year of Ma’arka-e-Haq was organized at Yadgar-e-Shuhada in Peshawar. The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Corps Commander Peshawar visited Yadgar-e-Shuhada, laid a floral wreath and offered fateha. A large number of people including civil and military officers and students attended the ceremony. Glowing tributes was paid in this impressive ceremony to the great sacrifices of the martyrs of the country. Fateha was also offered for elevation of ranks of the martyrs, while special prayers were offered for security and stability of the beloved motherland. Special message of the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces was also read out on this occasion. In Balochistan, a graceful ceremony was held in Quetta to mark the historic victory in Ma’arka-e-Haq. Governor Balochistan, Chief Minister and Corps Commander laid a floral wreath on Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered fateha. Senior civil and military officials visited the Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay tribute to the martyrs. A large number of people including the Speaker Balochistan Assembly, provincial ministers, Inspector General of Police, minority representatives, senior military and civil officials, heirs and relatives of the martyrs, university and college students attended the ceremony. The military officers and delegations from friendly countries also visited Yadgar-e-Shuhada and laid a floral wreath. The heirs and relatives of the martyrs also paid glowing tribute to all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country. The participants said, today is a day for the entire nation to recall success, unity, and sacrifices. In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, a graceful ceremony in connection with first commemoration of Ma’arka-e-Haq was held at Yadgar-e-Shuhada in Muzaffarabad. The Acting President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, who was the Chief Guest of the ceremony, laid a floral wreath on Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered fateha. In Gilgit Baltistan, an impressive ceremony on completion of one year of the historic victory in Ma’arka-e-Haq was held at Yadgar-e-Shuhada in Gilgit today. Caretaker Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan, Justice retired Yar Muhammad was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. The Chief Guest presented salute at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, laid a floral wreath and offered fateha. Special prayers were offered for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs, the security, integrity and prosperity of the country.
