Introduction Humanitarian organizations operating in Lebanon face a complex and often unpredictable importation environment shaped by regulatory requirements, administrative constraints, and varying levels of institutional capacity. These challenges directly affect the timely delivery of essential supplies, particularly medical and relief items. Building on recent operational experience and consolidated feedback from partners, this document outlines key good practices and practical recommendations to support humanitarian actors in navigating importation procedures more effectively. The bulletin n° 1 on “Importation Procedures and Good Practices for Humanitarian Shipments” presented here reflects a multi-agency perspective and aims to harmonize approaches across the sector. It highlights actionable steps related to documentation, coordination with national authorities, engagement with authorized consignees, collaboration with logistics service providers, and the use of ministry-led importation pathways when required. By strengthening collective understanding and aligning operational practices, humanitarian organizations can reduce delays, mitigate risks, and improve the overall efficiency of supply chains serving affected populations in Lebanon.
