LCCI elections 2026: 30 candidates elected to executive committee

LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) elections for 2026 have concluded with 30 candidates elected to the Executive Committee from the Corporate and Associate Classes, while two women have been elected on reserved seats. The Associate Class results announced on Saturday showed all 15 successful candidates belonging to the Vision Alliance. Syed Azmat Ali topped the poll with 5, 428 votes, followed by Zaman Naseeb with 5, 421 and Shahab Basharat with 5, 416 votes. Other successful candidates were Maqbool Siddique (5, 390), Adil Babar Khan (5, 385), Khadim Hussain (5, 382), Shehzad Mahmood (5, 370), Naveed Ayub (5, 355), Sahir Mushtaq (5, 351), Sardar Usman Ghani (5, 344), Muhammad Ijaz Ghori (5, 306), Muhammad Yasin (5, 305), Ali Raza (5, 305), Shah Bahram (5, 166) and Shehzad Ali Shah (4, 990). The Associate Class polling was held as the second phase of the election process, following polling for the Corporate Class a day earlier. In the Corporate Class, 15 candidates were elected. Ali Hassam Asghar secured the highest number of votes at 1, 700, followed by Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim with 1, 638 and Hamid Raza with 1, 605 votes. The other successful candidates were Syed Yousaf Jameel Hussain Rizvi (1, 588), Azim Iftikhar (1, 585), Mardan Ali Zaidi (1, 570), Tariq Mahmood (1, 562), Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhry (1, 549), Hamad Mahmood (1, 544), Chaudhry Muhammad Fargham (1, 541), Muhammad Ali (1, 535), Muhammad Umar Abdullah Chaudhry (1, 512), Chaudhry Tahir Manzoor (1, 478), Amir Ata Bari (1, 460) and Hamza Majeed (1, 455). Of the 15 Corporate Class winners, 13 contested on the Vision Alliance platform, while Chaudhry Tahir Manzoor and Amir Ata Bari contested on the PPBA platform. Meanwhile, Huma Junaid was elected on the women’s reserved seat from the Corporate Class, while Naila Nadeem secured the reserved seat from the Associate Class. With the completion of polling for both classes, the two-phase LCCI election process has concluded, resulting in the election of 30 members through polling and two women on reserved seats for the new term.
