KP CM inaugurates Hayatabad Toll Plaza underpass

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi inaugurated the Hayatabad Toll Plaza Underpass on Wednesday. Constructed at a cost of Rs1. 6 billion, the Hayatabad Toll Plaza Underpass has been completed within a short period of 90 days. The project has a total length of 500 metres, including a 130-metre-long barrel, and comprises 665 piles and a two-lane underpass. The underpass will improve traffic flow from Detour Road (Bara side) towards Ring Road. The project’s primary objective is to reduce traffic congestion at Hayatabad Toll Plaza and adjoining roads, facilitate vehicular movement, and provide direct and smooth connectivity. Its completion will help minimise unnecessary traffic interruptions and delays, save commuters’ time, and improve traffic management and mobility in Hayatabad and surrounding areas. Members of the provincial cabinet, including Meena Khan Afridi, Shafi Jan, Mian Umar Kakakhel and Adil Iqbal, Members of the National Assembly Junaid Akbar and Asif Khan, along with parliamentarians elected from Peshawar, party leadership and a large number of citizens attended the inauguration ceremony.
