KARACHI: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has launched a project to install protective safety nets beneath manhole covers in an effort to prevent pedestrians and motorists from falling into open manholes. Mayor Murtaza Wahab announced that the initiative has been launched from Tariq Road, where manhole covers are being fitted with additional protective steel nets.
