article author: Arab News Wed, 2026-06-10 21: 47 LONDON: Jordanian lawmaker Wissam Arbihat was detained on Wednesday and charged with money laundering and unauthorized fundraising activities by the public prosecutor. A member of the Islamist-leaning Umma Party, Arbihat has also been banned from traveling and had his assets frozen, the Jordan News Agency reported. He was first detained, and later released, in September along with six other suspects for raising funds through an unlicensed online platform.
