A video showing Israel’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Danny Danon, offering a Starlink satellite internet device to Iranian diplomat Nasser Asadi circulated on social media. The video, filmed on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session, showed Danon approaching Asadi while holding the device and suggesting that he take it back to Tehran, saying it could prove useful to him in Iran. Asadi did not respond to Danon and ignored the Israeli representative. The incident took place against a backdrop of intense political tension between Iran and Israel, which was also evident during the UN General Assembly session.
