Actor Iqra Aziz has described her marriage to Yasir Hussain as a blessing, saying their more than 10-year age gap has never affected their relationship. Speaking in an interview while supporting Hussain at his theatre production So Suite in Lahore, Aziz said she considered herself fortunate to have him as a husband. “I think people say otherwise but I feel it is ‘Khush kismati’ and nothing else, ” she said, describing Hussain as a kind husband and “one of a kind”. Addressing speculation about their age difference, Aziz said she did not consider it a negative aspect of their marriage and stressed that compatibility and shared life goals were more important. “I think this age gap is good because if you see, it was the same with our parents and when they got married. The only important thing is that your life goals align, ” she said. Aziz also spoke about motherhood and the guilt experienced by working mothers. She said children often seek their mothers’ full attention when they are available, making it difficult for working women to balance their careers and family responsibilities. She said both her and Hussain’s families support their children, Kabir and Sophia, and ensure they are surrounded by family members. “Mom guilt comes to working women and non-working women. Do not put yourself down because of it. You are doing amazing, ” Aziz said. The actor also praised Hussain’s theatre production, saying theatre was a significant change from television. She said she was nervous about performing on stage but hoped to try theatre herself one day. Reflecting on her acting career, Aziz said she had waited for the right opportunity before making her television debut. “It was written for me to come on screen when I got a good character, ” she said. Aziz and Hussain married in December 2019 after getting engaged a year earlier at an awards ceremony. They have two children, Kabir and Sophia.
