Country: Indonesia Source: European Commission’s Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations From 4‐6 May, floods and landslides struck large parts of Indonesia, causing deaths, displacement and extensive damage. According to the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), as of 6 May, a landslide in Thunder Village, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency on 5 May claimed one fatality, while a separate landslide in Cipendawa Village, Pacet District, Cianjur Regency killed another person when a wall collapsed. In West Java, several areas were also hit by landslides; in Bogor City, 54 people were affected, three buildings suffered heavy damage and ten incurred moderate damage from landslides. Additionally, Jakarta recorded 4 755 residents and 1 582 housing units affected by floods across 28 villages in 12 sub‐districts. In Tangerang City, Banten, 45 people were evacuated to temporary centres, affecting 60 families. Bandung Regency reported 63 families affected in Cilampeni Village, Katapang District, while 61 housing units and two places of worship were damaged due to floodwater. Additional moderate to isolated heavy rainfall is forecast for the next 48 hours across Indonesia.
