IM FY2026-27: USD763.03m received on account of foreign aid

ISLAMABAD: The country has received a total USD763. 03 million on account of foreign economic assistance during first month of the Financial Year (FY) 2026-27 which is almost nine percent higher as compared with USD694. 53 million received during the same period of FY 2025-26. According to data released by the Economic Affairs Division (EAD) here on Monday, the multilateral, bilateral loans and grants in July 2026 remained USD252. 83 million against USD266. 93 million received in the previous month. Pakistan also received a USD 146. 62 million loan from China. Out of the total amount received USD343. 99 million for budgetary support, USD66. 03 million programme loan, USD 22. 71 million short term Isbd, out of the total foreign economic assistance of 763. 03 million USD432. 73 million received on account of non-Project loan and USD 330. 30 million for project loan. According to data in July 2026 the country has received a total USD 19. 60 million dollars on account of bilateral loans and grants of which USD7. 31 million loans from Saudi Arabia, USD1. 68 million loan from Germany, USD1. 30 million loan from France, USD8. 26 million grant from Germany, USD 0. 94 million grant from Japan and USD 0. 11 million grant from Saudi Arabia. On account of multilateral loans in July, Pakistan received a total USD 252. 83 million loans including USD130. 65 million from IDA, USD59. 17 million from ADB, USD29. 22 million from IBRD, USD 22. 71 million from IDB (ST), USD 2 million from IFAD, USD 6. 57 million from AIIB, USD 1. 75 million from IBD and USD 0. 76 million from OPEC Fund. In July 2026, the country received a total USD 9. 05 million on account of bilateral grants of which USD 5. 73 million from IBRD and USD 3. 31 million from IDA. While the country received a total USD243. 78 million loans from various partners including USD 127. 34 from IDA, USD 59. 17 from ADB, USD 23. 49 from IBRD, USD 22. 71 IDB (ST), USD 6. 57 from AIIB, USD 2 million IFAD, USD 1. 75 from IDB and USD 0. 76 million from OPEC Fund. Total foreign commercial borrowing through the Naya Pakistan Certificate (NPC) scheme amounted to USD 343. 99 million in July 2026, comprising USD 97. 32 million under the conventional facility and USD 246. 67 million under the Islamic facility.
