England batter Harry Brook has climbed to the No. 1 spot in the latest ICC Test batting rankings, overtaking fellow England star Joe Root. According to the updated rankings released by the International Cricket Council, Brook now leads the Test batting standings, while Travis Head has moved up to second place. Root has slipped to third position. Former Australia captain Steve Smith remains fourth, while Kamindu Mendis has advanced to fifth place. Kane Williamson dropped one spot to sixth.
