Introduction & Project Genesis In alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 1 (No Poverty) and Goal 5 (Gender Equality), the All Girls Foundation for Development (AGF) implemented a targeted intervention in the Hajjah Governorate (Bani Qais and Ku’aidnah districts). Funded by GIZ, the project aimed to improve food security for 60 of the most vulnerable women through intensive vocational training in palm frond weaving. This project demonstrated that traditional craftsmanship, when paired with technical training, is a potent tool for sustainable economic recovery and household stabilization.
