As many as four Commodores including Tasawar Iqbal, Muhammad Umair, Shahid Wasif, and Rao Ahmed Imran Anwar of Pakistan Navy have been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral. Rear Admiral Tasawar Iqbal was commissioned in Operations Branch of Pakistan Navy in 1995, said a news release issued by Directorate General Public Relations (Pak Navy).
