This report presents a program-centered account of advanced cardiac services delivered by the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) across its supported facilities in Syria. It examines how a structured model of cardiovascular care has been built around outpatient cardiology, diagnostics, cardiothoracic surgery, catheterization laboratories, cardiac critical care, electrophysiology, and stroke intervention. It draws on program data, operational material, interviews with clinicians and program leadership, and selected academic and policy literature on cardiovascular disease in Syria, the wider Middle East and North Africa, and conflict-affected health systems.
