ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed five terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Bara, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as counter-terrorism operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision continued across the province, security sources said on Tuesday. According to the sources, security forces launched the operation following intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. During the operation, troops effectively engaged the terrorists, killing five of them, the sources said. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the killed terrorists. Security sources said the operation also resulted in the destruction of terrorist hideouts in the area. The latest action comes as security forces continue counter-terrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision.
