ISLAMABAD: The European Union has announced a loan of €160 million for Pakistan, with formal agreements due to be signed on April 28. The agreements are set to be finalised between the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Pakistan’s government. Of the total package, €100 million has been allocated for flood-affected communities in Sindh. READ ALSO: EU: A narrow window The funding is expected to support the construction of approximately 2. 1 million homes for the rehabilitation of displaced families. A further €60 million will be directed towards projects in Karachi aimed at improving water supply and water quality. The initiative is intended to enhance access to clean drinking water for residents of the city.
